Woodridge Bed and Breakfast of Louisiana
Ranked #1 of 1 Pearl River B&B and Inns
Reviewed January 22, 2012

We stay at the Woodridge B&B almost every June on our way to Gulf Shores. We have family in the area, and The Woodridge makes a nice base to visit everyone. Debbie and Tim are great hosts. They know all the local ins and outs and can help you plan your visit. Debbie makes a great breakfast. I have food allergies, and she always has an alternative for me if I can't eat what she has fixed.

My Husband and I had a wonderful stay here. The bed was comfy, but small (we are used to a king). It was quiet and very relaxing. The owners are extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast was yummy. It was not traditional breakfast, but nice to try something new and good. The travel time to New Orleans was about 40 minutes. I would recommend this B&B to anyone because of the Royal treatment we got!

We stayed in this B & B in early November and had a wonderful experience. The house and property is very beautiful and the owners are hospitable and friendly. They farm a lot of the breakfast foods there on the property or have obtain local and organic products for quality. The breakfast was great and I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone.

We stayed at Woodridge B & B for just one night but really enjoyed ourselves. The owners were very personable, and their homemade breakfast was a treat. The Magnolia Room is cozy but spacious.

We also went on the Honey Island Swamp Tour, which was fun and interesting, and ate at Nathan's in nearby Slidell.

We wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending a romantic weekend at Woodridge.

Room Tip: We stayed in The Magnolia Room, and enjoyed it.

We decided to stay here whilst visiting the local swamp tour. Our reception was nothing but warm and welcoming after a long day sightseeing. We were given an upgrade due to the room being available and were so impressed. The whole property had a clean, friendly and cosy feel to it and made us feel instantly at home. This was one of the last places we stayed having enjoyed a wonderful tour of the deep South and having stayed in some very good quality hotels.
Its always great to finish a trip with a lasting memory and for us the Woodridge was just that. The room was clean with fresh sheets and a real home from home feel. The owners could not be more helpful if they tried but at the same time you were left to enjoy the property. Some b+bs we have visited in the past we have crept about having felt like we have gatecrashed into someones house but this was certainly not the case here.
We only stayed two nights but each morning we had the most tasty breakfast. With home cooked jams, biscuits and hot dishes.
There is a lovely little pool at the location although due to time contraints we didnt have the time to take advantage.
The setting is also very peaceful and we spent an hour just walking around the area observing some beautiful houses set in the trees. Living in the UK we would have to win the lottery to afford a property of the same size as those we looked at, and you really dont feel like you are just of the Interstate 10.
We cannot recommend this b+b enough and for us the most enjoyable part was the true Southern hospitality of the owners. Thankyou Debbi and Tim for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed are chats at breakfast and the lovely homecooked food.

We really enjoyed our stay at Woodridge Bed and Breakfast. The owners were very accomodating. The rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. It is located in a very quiet area, but yet close enough to town for restaurants, shopping, etc.

My Husband and I had been in the area for our Anniversary and I found a great deal on Living Social deals for the Woodridge B&B, in fact, it was the coupon that made us decide to go to New Orleans. When we first arrived, even though we were early, Debbi (and her puppy Tibbe) welcomed us and showed us to our room. The rooms are beautifully adorned with antique furniture and are themed to their location and design. They have all the amenities a hotel would have including a flat screen tv and cable and something hotels don't usually have, a DVD player. The bed was INCREDIBLY comfortable and the owners, Debbi and Tim were extremely friendly and easy going. The epitome of "southern hospitality"! The breakfast was extraordinary as well, and Debbi and Tim go all out to accommodate their guests. I would definitely recommend staying here for your trip down to New Orleans, being only 30/45 away from downtown New Orleans in a very peaceful beautiful area with great people it is the best way to spend your time down south. (THANKS DEBBI AND TIM)

Room Tip: We had the Magnolia Suite and it was great, but I have no doubt all the rooms are fantastic!
