“Cajun Hospitality with Spice!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Lovely location, easy to find and the honestly open and welcoming staff made for a perfect start. Despite being a Tuesday night the food was fresh and delicious with aroma and spices that brought the best out of the food. The amount of crawfish being devoured by fellow patrons was another indication that Alex has a winning recipe both with the food and the location.

“Great sampler of crawfish”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

We had the Crawfish Festival and it was our first meal in Louisiana. The batter was very light and non greasy. The étouffée was deliciously spiced. The service was excellent and I would recommend this place for authentic Cajun food.

“Great seafood”

The weekday lunch specials are very good. The selection of seafood choices and combinations are excellent. The buffet on Friday evenings is really good also.

“Authentic cajun food near the chains”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

We stayed in the Comfort Suites hotel near 14 and 90. It is surrounded by chain restaurants and we asked at the desk for a local recommendation. He suggested a couple places but Landry's was also close. It isn't associated with the chain; it is a family restaurant that has been there since 1994 and in business since the You can take the service/frontage road west from 14 so you don't need to even get back on the freeway. It has a smallish yellow sign. Anyway, my boyfriend is from this general area originally and was craving good cajun food. I had the shrimp and crab festival. The seafood gumbo was very good and he thought so as well. There were a number of items but I'll just describe my favorites (in case you just want to order a regular dinner). The fried shrimp were delicious, in fact we decided that they used particularly good flavored shrimp throughout. The stuffed crab was delicious, although the stuffed shrimp was easier to eat. My boyfriend thought the shrimp and crab etouffee that I had was the best he'd ever tasted. I also really liked the shrimp, crab and eggplant casserole. Anyway, we were very happy with our decision and would go back again if we were in the area. The staff was very friendly and the decor was pleasant and homey. There were also some ducks in a pond outside.

The Friday and Saturday night buffet is exceptional and the added bonus is a live Cajun Band! I didn't dislike anything!
