We are from Oklahoma so we don't get good seafood and stopped here since we were in the area. We ordered a sampler platter so we could try several things and it came with a cup of gumbo. We also had the salad bar which had plenty of fresh items to choose from. The gumbo was very good, not too spicy. The platter included several types of seafood along with onion rings and french fries. The wait staff was very friendly and the owner even came out to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Would definitely go again.

We want real Cajun food and this place had it. The atmosphere was friendly, dining room large and roomy. We got fried alligator for starters. A seafood platter for main meal with a cup of gumbo. Everything was simply amazing!

We were in New Iberia for business, and the company guys took us to Landry's for lunch. The buffet was incredible, loaded with great Southern fare. It was so great, we went three days in a row!! The first day had roast beef, slow roasted to melt in your mouth goodness, along with all the fixings, desserts, & salad bar. The next day was roast pork that again, was fall-apart tender, and piles of southern fried chicken, mashed potatoes, white beans, black eyed peas, gumbo, desserts. And all of it was phenomenal, the best ever!! Day three, we couldn't wait to get to Landry's. Unfortunately, it was Friday, and there is no meat on Fridays. The buffet was a huge disappointment, with fried trout, fried bay shrimp, shrimp fettuccini, gumbo with rice. We just didn't like the fried stuff, which left us little to choose from. We were going to go back on Saturday, but found out there would be no meat again, so we decided against it. So, unless you're a big fan of fried seafood, I would advise against the meatless buffet. Our first two days made us huge fans of this restaurant, though, it's friendly waitstaff, and chef Alex Patout, who came out personally to talk to us.

This is good place to stop if you travel between Lafayette and New Orleans. Not fancy and no frills. Just good Cajun seafood and steaks. They usually seem to be a bit under staffed so don't be in a hurry.

We spent a couple days in the New Iberia area and this restaurant was suggested to us by the locals. It has a very nice setting, a large comfortable dining room and great service by a friendly professional waitress. We both had seafood that was fresh and delicious. The salad bar is included and we had a huge twice baked potato that was excellent. There is a lunch buffet every weekday and a dinner buffet on the weekends. The staff told us there is live Cajun music on Friday and Sat nights. I definitely recommend this place. And my husband loved the bread pudding.
