we loved this store - everything was reasonably priced, but touristy. Bought several items to take home - LOVED the spices! The mill tour was very interesting and so was the movie that told us just how rice and crawfish were raised. The lady that was our tour guide worked there a long time, she was very friendly and made us feel right at home.
I love finding places like this - if you like old school ways, then be sure and visit this site.

The tour was somewhat interesting, but it was dark and dusty inside and nothing was going on the day we were there. The Company Store was worth the visit, especially discovering the Hol-Grain line of non-GMO foods.

I grew up in a family owned business. This one is very close to the customers, extremely well versed on its products, and fighting to keep a niche in highly competitive industry. The mill is model of how to do the above. It was wonderful to be able to discuss the business and its problems with the owner and key employees. The rice is good too. We try to drop in every year to buy for the winter.

We came in on Saturday morning for a tour and are really glad we did. This place is like stepping back several decades in time. We loved it and the hands on experience. Thanks.

We took a day trip to this and Avery Island. The rice mill was interesting and we all learned more about rice than we knew. Went on a Monday and the mill was bagging rice. Saw the various stages from rough rice to white and in between. Small fee for tour.
