Several local residents recommended Bon Creole to us and we're indebted to them for that. The restaurant is about as appealing as a bait shop outside--though not run-down in appearance. But the atmosphere is friendly and the food is outstanding. You could scrape off the fried shrimp from a po-boy and get as many shrimp as in many dinners. The shrimp is fresh and perfectly fried. The gumbo is very good as well.
