I believe this would be a good choice for a hotel if you are ever in the New Iberia area. I stayed there in September 2011, and the room was perfect. As was the service. A Waffle House was next door, for those who want a hot breakfast beyond the excellent continental breakfast offered in the hotel.

I was traveling alone, and did not experience any issues whatever. I had a perfect stay, and I plan to return.

We stayed here for a soccer tournament with high hopes. After the kids were finished playing 2 games a piece we came back to the hotel to bathe and guess what??? No hot water!!! It was 9:30 at night by this time and they offered us to switch rooms. Nice gesture but we had 1 kid already asleep and all our bags were unpacked. The front desk told me the manager was out of town and would call me the following Monday. Tuesday I still hadn't heard from them so I called back, the manager said she couldn't do anything about it only the general manager could and she was out of town for the week. (really)??? She said she'd have her call me the following Monday. Two weeks later and they still hadn't called me, I called back and they said the best they could do was 10% off our next stay there. HELLO!!!! DO YOU THINK WE WANT TO STAY THERE???????? It would be awesome if they could give us 10% off the Hampton Inn next door or any other hotel in the area! I understand that things happen, hot waters heaters fail etc. etc. but the customer service is TERRIBLE!!!!!

Room Tip: there are other hotels near this one

We had never traveled to Cajun country before and needed a base that was centrally located to see the sights. The La Quinta in New Iberia was very easy to find at the intersection of Routes 14 and 90. Built in 2009, the hotel is very well maintained and kept very clean in all of the public spaces and our room was immaculate. We had a "chirping" smoke alarm which maintenance fixed promptly.
The room was very large with a high ceiling and was very quiet. It was well equipped with a large desk, microwave and a nice half size fridge. The hot breakfast was much more than dry cereal and a waffle machine. There were good choices of several hot food items. We also used the business center and guest laundry during our several day visit and they were also very clean.
The front desk staff and housekeeping were helpful in every way from on the minute wake up calls to replacing a lost key within a minute. It was also across the street from one of our favorite restaurants-Ruby Tuesday although there are numerous Cajun and Creole choices closeby.
The La Quinta in New Iberia is really a first class property in all respects and we would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: We found the side facing the sugar cane field to be very quiet.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on January 27th. We were very satisfied with the cleanliness and quality of this hotel. Courteous service and a good hot breakfast. The hot el was very quiet and close to restaurants. I would stay there again.

The hotel was nicely decorated and very well maintained. The room was large and very clean. There was a large work desk and a a loveseat. It also had a microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker. There were lots of outlets to plug electronics into. The bed was very comfortable and had 5 normal sized pillows. As usual, we checked and there were no bedbugs. The motel was within walking distance to several restaurants and gas stations/convenience stores. The bathroom was large, but my husband said the towels were rough. The breakfast was fantastic. There was hot eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, waffles, coffee, juice, milk. The eating area was large and there was lots of room to walk between the tables. Lancy (evening) and Sandy(morning) worked at the front desk and were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a nice comfortable place to stay. The room was very clean, nice size, and terrific shower and bathroom. The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. It was easy to get to the hotel from I-90. The hot breakfast was one of the best - real sausages, eggs, waffles and all the usual. The coffee was good as well. The one BIG problem was the soundproofing between the walls which was non-existent. We could hear the people talking in the room next to us as well as the TV. That was most annoying. It was really too bad since everything else had been very nice. According to the receptionist the chain was working on taking care of this problem. We would stay here again but would ask for a room away from other occupied rooms if possible.

Room Tip: Ask if soundproofing work has been completed, and if not try to get a room with no neighbors.
