Natchitoches was our last stop of a 6 day motorcycle vacation thru Arkansas on our way back to New Orleans. We booked this B&B almost solely on reviews from Trip Advisor and from a friend of my wife that lives near this area. We stayed in the “Marco” room and it was a great choice. The home has quite a history of how it got moved to the present site. But the owner has turned this home into something of a “museum”! His personal collections of various collectibles are displayed throughout the house…and they are STUNNING! Not only in the number of pieces, but how well kept and beautiful they are. The home interior as well as and grounds around the home are impeccable kept. Breakfast was cooked fresh was promptly served at 8:30 am. One of the most amazing things about this home is that ALL of this is kept so beautifull by one amazing person! A wonderful lady named Jeanne. She is what makes the Samuel Guy House GREAT!

Room Tip: Marco Room was excellent!

We booked 1 night in the 'House of Brides' room, which is gorgeous! The room is on the 1st floor, with a private sitting-area, a comfortable King and Jacuzzi. It is the most beautiful suite we ever had in any b&b during all our trips in the States and yes, we had many!
You have a private entrance near the parking, which makes it easy for loading/unloading.
You can sit on the frontporch or the backporch of the house, both are nice. The whole house is filled with antiques, very well kept. Breakfast is very good and Theresa is a wonderful, kind person, who really cares for the guests.
Without doubt we would return to this welcoming home, where you feel completely free, as nobody lives in the house, but Theresa is there when you need her.
Everything is there to make sure that the guests feel comfortable .
This is a b&b to remember forever!
One suggestion: as the lights of the parking are on all night, the curtain in the bedroom is too thin, so that may be a problem. But surely this can be resolved.

Room Tip: the best suite is the House of Brides, which is on the frontside - very silent street - and has 2 en...

Once again, our stay at Samuel Guy House was outstanding! The back gardens now include a new waterfall - so soothing to sit outside on the huge porch swings and rocking chairs or under the Gazebo - and a new fire pit with seating. It's so relaxing to watch the cardinals, blue jays and finches play in the water falls and trees. The Katie Chopin suit is our favorite and Teresa always makes you feel at home. Breakfasts were wonderful and the house is impeccably clean and comfortably cozy! Looking forward to our next stay at this beautiful B&B.

i just completed my second stay at the Samuel Guy House -- and I will look no further for a B&B in Natchitoches Parish! And actually, I'd call it the Samuel Guy Home -- because it just feels like living in a home that someone really loves and cares for. I've stayed in many already and nothing compares to this one! For starters the curb appeal is beautiful, fountains, statues, benches in both front yard and back. Welcoming porches the width of the house with rockers and fresh flower arrangements! Be sure to check out the 6 inch Confederate Roses in the back yard. The you walk in the front door -- oh my! It's breath takingly beautiful and sparkling clean. It truly shines from the crystal chandeliers to the shiny wood floors. The beautiful red dining room is the first glimpse of the amazing decor. The owner Payne Williams is a fascinating character and his global interests are reflected in the entire house. Displayed are his treasured collections from around the world. All meticulously displayed, in perfect condition, encased in gorgeous furniture pieces or unique displays. There is literally something from every corner of the earth! And to top off all of this - Theresa Matheson, the innkeeper, is a jewel. She works as though for God himself - and her standards of cleanliness and hospitality is what sets this B&B head and shoulders above the rest. If you have the pleasure of spending some time with her - her life story is amazing and her dedication to the Samuel Guy Home and it's owner are unwavering. She donates most of her salary to help provide school books for African Villages in Kenya. Like I said - I look no further . . .and will be back many times.

Room Tip: I love the Willow Plantation Room - huge, a natural view, and a great Jacuzzi tub! Though all the ro...

Stayed here for the Natchitoches Christmas Festival. Easy walking distance to downtown. Loved the house, loved the location, loved Theresa's cordiality and her breakfasts. Beautifully restored old home. Perfect at Christmastime. So many collections from the owner. A feast for the eyes. Newly reworked gardens with a fire-pit and waterfall. A must stay. And I will again.

Room Tip: Rooms toward the back of the house are SO quiet. Beautiful views.

I had a great visit to the Samuel Guy House. It is a beautiful restored home that sits at the end of a dead end road, which makes for a nice quiet secluded visit. The inn keeper, Theresa made us feel right at home and gave us a tour of the home upon our arrival. The back porch is a wonderful place to sit and relax while enjoying the view of the beautiful garden. We enjoyed ham and eggs and stuffed french toast for breakfast.

This is a beautiful house that make you feel at home. Theresa, the innkeeper, is a delight! She is happy to tell you about the history of the house and the area. The property is very well managed, very clean, with huge bedrooms and spa style baths. The breakfasts are great with plenty of food that is freshly made each day, and different offerings each day. The location is close to everything and Theresa will make suggestions, if asked, about places to go and things to do. She also supplies brochures of places of interest, snacks, and cold drinks that are available at any time.

We are from the Dallas, TX area and our two granddaughters, one in college and the other a high school senior, are from California. None of us had been to this area of the country, and we are all interested in the history of it, so this was perfect.

Room Tip: There isn't a "bad" room in the house. It is located in a quiet area, so getting a go...
