Had to stay two nights in Natchitoches,LA found the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites the staff was very friendly and helpful clean hotel and fast WiFi that I needed, I will definitely staying again when I'm back in town.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! They answered any questions we had and even heard us discussing our plans and gave literature to help with us decide what attractions to visit. Rooms were decent and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was OK. Several things to choose from. One problem we did have was they ran out of some things over the weekend and selection was not at good on Monday morning. We stayed three nights and would stay again.

Bare lightbulbs, stained sheets with cigarette burns, tub that was too dirty to use. I didn't think it would get worse until I woke up and there were bugs in the bed. With US! After much panic and googling we were relieved to find out that they weren't bed bugs but it really didn't matter much by then. Disgusting hotel. Run!

Front desk person was friendly and had baked cookies on arrival. It is an older hotel but the room smelled clean and fresh. We had 2 double queens and thought the room was a little on the small side. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. We stayed for two nights and would again. We found this place reasonably priced.

The stench began at the lobby where a decorative water fountain was reeking with dirty water. I stayed in room 231 which smelled like moldy hay and mildew. The odor was strongest when the heater was running. The two bedspreads looked dirty and there was even a cigarette burn on one. The mattress, though, was comfortable and the sheets were clean.

The bathroom was bad. The sink was pulling away from the wall, the toilet seat surface was blistered and needed to be replaced, the bath tub had a crack in the floor and the shower head was very loose. There was a missing light fixture. There was no counter top so you had to stash your toiletries either on the towel rack or on the toilet lid.

The carpets throughout the hotel were dirty and stained. The window blinds were askew. And I could very easily hear the foot traffic from the 3rd floor.

The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. It featured prepackaged blueberry muffins like you buy in bulk at Sam's, prepackaged tacos, and a bowl of peeled hard boiled eggs. I think there was some cereal and off to one corner was a waffle iron. The coffee tasted OK but there were grounds in my cup. I used the milk found in the refrigerator instead of the power non-dairy creamer.

Were it not for the fact that I was on a chartered tour, then I would have left this hotel and sought lodging elsewhere.

Room Tip: Find another hotel.
