We visited Natchitoches for a stop-over. It looked to be a very charming town. Because it was later in the evening, we decided on the Pioneer Pub, because they stayed open later. It took about 15 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us and that was only after another patron point us out to her! Once she "noticed" us, she was attentive and seemed to try. However, when our orders arrived, several of our condiments were missing. We kept her running back and forth for condiments and refills. It was almost like pulling teeth to get waited on! A great upside to the whole experience was that the food was great, and the restaurant/pub had nice decor/ambiance.

This is a good place to eat when you're in Natchitoches. Cool atmosphere and a friendly staff. The burgers are huge!! Great pub, quirky decor.

After Looking at reviews for places to eat in the Historic District we tried the Pub. Food was hot, flavorful, well presented by a friendly waitress. Dinner, beverages and dessert for a reasonable price. Loved the atmosphere, decor and music. Open 7 days a week with no smoking inside.
Avoid the place across the street!

Our waitress was cheerful and helpful, the blackened gator po'boy was tasty, and they had some good beers. The Pub is in a great location, too. We really enjoyed our visit!

We visited on a Sunday afternoon, so it was quiet and we got good service. Just had beer and appetizers, so can't comment on dinner fare. My husband had a Wookie which he said was pretty good. I had the frog legs which were also pretty good and served with an excellent remoulade sauce. The eclectic decor is amusing ..... something to look at while waiting for food.
