The food is consistently good at Merci Beaucoup. The mini meat pies (which could be a meal) are flavorful, and the gumbo has a wonderful, rich roux. Another favorite is the St. Denis dish.

Stopped here on way towards a reunion and it’s awesome ! Owner is great and staff is as well. Gumbo is good as is the seafood platter ! Tried my first meat pies and they were really good too !

For anyone visiting old downtown Natchitoches, the best lunch place by far, that is reminiscent of long gone lunch establishments is Merci Beaucoup. The decor is nice and country club-ish, staff is friendly and efficient and will make sure your every question is answered. The chicken and sausage gumbo is delicious, I love their chicken salad and I always leave with a jar of signature orange dressing! It's different and so perfect for summer salads. This is a favorite lunch spot for locals, by the way, so you know that is always a good sign!

Had lunch here today and everything was as mentioned. Crab cakes were crunchy and fresh, sauce was perfect, a perfect amount of spice and heat to compliment, not overwhelm the delicate mudbugs. Crispy French bread topped off the plate. Bread pudding was spicy and delicate. One of the the best ever enjoyed anywhere. DO visit.. you won't be disappointed.. Waiter was very professional and friendly.

Good meat pie mediocre and not worth it salads. House dressing was extra sweet orange dressing. Dirt rice was good. Service a bit sporadic. We were a large group seated separately that might have been part of the issue. We did pre order lunch if we hadn’t done that it would’ve taken a significantly longer time.
