We had a very pleasant experience dining at Warehouse 1 in Monroe. The place is a little hard to find on a rainy night, but even at 6pm the gravel parking lot was busy. It’s not a fancy place inside but you will be well taken care of as they appear to have almost too many employees. All the courses came out of the kitchen fast and were delicious. The gumbo was some of the best I’ve ever eaten – not thin as New Orleans gumbo sometimes is. The onion rings and fried green tomatoes were excellent. We had both the Snapper Supreme and Snapper Beurre Blanc. Looking at these 2 you can’t tell them apart. The sauces were good but not great. While it’s not much of a complaint, it was too much fish to eat. There are a lot of sides to choose from but both of us picked the vegetables. I’m told all the desserts are homemade as are the salad dressings. Definitely an excellent experience and I would go again but try something different – maybe the blackened snapper or redfish with cheese grits. Bring your credit card as it’s a bit pricey.

The first thing we noticed when we came in was the noise. Admittedly the screaming child and the waiter that dropped contributed significantly to the noise, the background noise was noticeably higher than other places we have been.
The food was OK, but nothing special. My wife had the Snapper Supreme and I had the seafood platter. Both dishes were average at best. We were expecting something special but did not get it.

Don't be fooled by the entrance to this restaurant---after all, it is a converted warehouse! Once inside, it is very unique with inside seating as well as outside on balcony overy Ouachita River....there is even a fireplace on the balcony! Wait staff was wonderful from the welcoming host to our waiter, Chris, who was a delight. Gumbo and shrimp/crab bisque are to die for! Famous for steaks and seafood but has a varied menu to choose from. Enjoy!.

Perched on the Ouachita River in an old cotton warehouse, this is a great place for business associates, friends, and couples. You won't find families with young kids. The hush puppies are like potato chips in that you can't just eat one. I'm not aware of any other restaurant in the area offering valet parking. There were 6 in our party and the waiter didn't have a problem with splitting our tab 2 ways. I ordered the nightly house special (redfish) and it was excellent. I agree with other comments in that it can get expensive in a hurry.

The best place to eat in this area. A bit on the expensive side, but worth every penny. The service was great.
