Monroe is truly luchy to have a restaurant of this caliber open there. Everything on the menu is great. Service is also good. The owners/chef are always there to make sure everything is running well. Steaks are great plus some specialty appetizers are great. Give them a try. Not the cheapest but well worth it.

The food is consistently of high quality and continues to be a loving homage to Southern cuisine. Biscuits, slow-cooked pork, smoky peas, and absolutely put-your-hand-on-the-Bible-delicious greens--all here. This place would be a standout even if it was located in New Orleans.

For those who didn't care for Cotton I have to ask, "What's wrong witch y'all?"

I travel for work, eat in restaurants all over the country. Was very happy with Cotton. Very cool building with lots of history and the food and service could not be topped!

We were traveling through and using TA as a barometer for "which" restaurant to eat at, Cotton was # 1, and for good reason. It is just about a minute or two off of the interstate and was easy to find.

I had the Shrimp and Grits and the wife had the Pork Sammie (I think) with fries, the food was excellent and so was the service. According to our waiter, this is the second oldest building in Monroe and was at one time a Cotton Warehouse and was even a Brothel at one time!

Worth the stop, the atmosphere was awesome, get there early.

Well, I could tell you what I recommend, but since the chef changes the menu fairly often, it would be of no assistance. What I will say is that if you are a fan of Southern cuisine, not intimidated by avant garde dishes and are anywhere near the bustling metropolis that is Monroe, do drop in. Local brews are an added treat. #mkop
