“Worth the 90 minute drive!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

We have just moved to Louisiana from Missouri, and have been trying to find the perfect restaurant to take our friends and family when they come down "south" to visit. After much research, I found Cotton, in Monroe, which is a 90 mile one-way trek. After much discussion, we made a reservation. After making the drive, we arrived in Monroe, and found the restaurant with our GPS. It was fun, and funky, and looked just like the photos. The chairs are SUPER comfy.
We are not familiar with some of the "cajun" dishes, so our wait staff was very patient while explaining what "yard bird" is, etc. After much pondering we had made our decision. Shrimp and grits was what I had driven there for.....and OMG they were delicious!!!.....Bangers and Mash, and fried catfish were the other choices, also delicious, but the best part of dinner was the Creme brulee' bread pudding with caramel sauce. All I can say is WOW!.....great meal....and worth the drive!

“Not Even in New York”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

To say this is a five star, one of a kind restaurant is to understate the quality and flavor of the food. On my visit, I tried a 72 hour low temperature heated cooked chicken that I will crave forever. Outstanding food, large portions and incredible taste!! Can you open in LA, NY and Miami?

Great food. Chef is a Food Network "Chopped" Champion. Great service. Too dark. Customers were using cell phones to illuminate the menus enough to read.

“Upscale Southern Cuisine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

This restaurant was everything I expected it to be. The food is wonderful and the service was superb. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I recommend the duck wraps. They are absolutely delicious. The only complaint I have about them is I wish there were more of them. My husband and I enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely go back.

“Superb!”

We had the deviled eggs for an appetizer, which were beautifully displayed and tasted great. The beef trio is my favorite. Everything wonderful!
