We have just moved to Louisiana from Missouri, and have been trying to find the perfect restaurant to take our friends and family when they come down "south" to visit. After much research, I found Cotton, in Monroe, which is a 90 mile one-way trek. After much discussion, we made a reservation. After making the drive, we arrived in Monroe, and found the restaurant with our GPS. It was fun, and funky, and looked just like the photos. The chairs are SUPER comfy.
We are not familiar with some of the "cajun" dishes, so our wait staff was very patient while explaining what "yard bird" is, etc. After much pondering we had made our decision. Shrimp and grits was what I had driven there for.....and OMG they were delicious!!!.....Bangers and Mash, and fried catfish were the other choices, also delicious, but the best part of dinner was the Creme brulee' bread pudding with caramel sauce. All I can say is WOW!.....great meal....and worth the drive!
