“Another Excellent Bucktown Seafood Restaurant”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

It's a one-room seafood restaurant in the Bucktown area of Metairie, Louisiana. It is crowded. I must say that our seafood platters took a long time to arrive, but were piping hot when we finally did get them. I ordered the seafood platter with potato salad ($17.99) and my partners ordered the same, except with French fries. We thought the platters were excellent. Also, we ordered, as appetizers, crawfish rolls ($10.00), which were exceptional, and decently good hush puppies ($3.00). Overall, this an "A-" restaurant, we thought, and we highly recommend it. “Our best meal”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Nothing fancy, just straight up good food.
Shrimp Po'Boy was generous, with crispy yet tender shrimp and an excellent cup of gumbo that was full of flavor and just a bit of spiciness.
Smoothered catfish was fantastic. Definitely worth the drive.

“A Bucktown Gem”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

Went here recently on a Friday night. We got here a little after 5:00 PM to "beat the weekend crowd" and the restaurant was almost full at that point. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks (the frosted beer mug with a local draft beer was sizable and refreshing!) For the main course, my father got a special - Redfish Pontchartrain - which was grilled fish fillet with pasta covered with a crawfish cream sauce. He really enjoyed the fish and pasta combo and the portion was very large. I had a fried shrimp platter which had so many shrimp, it was overwhelming. The shrimp were just the right size and perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Both of us got "to go" boxes and enjoyed our seafood a second day, due to the very generous portions. Our waitress said "no one leaves the restaurant hungry and if they do, they have a problem!" We would heartily agree!

“Great New Orleans cooking, good prices, very accommodating”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

We had a large group for lunch during Mardi Gras weekend. We had to wait maybe 45 minutes, but they managed to seat us all together. Excellent food for everyone, and very larger portions. Delicious stuffed artichokes, po boys, gumbo, and other New Orleans specialties. When I asked for a certain type of mixed drink, the waitress said they didn't make it, but asked for the recipe. I told her what was in it and they made it perfectly!

“Great food!”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

This is where we go for a favorite seafood treat. You have to begin with Corn and crawfish bisque then their voodoo rolls which are hot, crispy and filled with crawfish dressing and melted cheese. Then you can try any of their wonderful fresh dinner selections. Expect to wait a little as the food is so good everyone flocks there to eat. Friendly wait staff and owners pitch in when there is a crowd.
