After being left high and dry by USAir on the night of 25 Feb 07, my wife and I called this hotel from the New Orleans airport's phone bank. We were very pleased with the hotel. We were picked up around 8:00 by the hotel's shuttle and went to a nice room--king-sized bed, good size.
We hadn't eaten supper when we arrived, so the desk person had the shuttle take us to a restaurant--and then pick us up when we were finished eating. This really was service beyond the call of duty. (I might add that the shuttle driver recommended an outstanding local place we never would've considered.)
The continental breakfast was outstanding. French toast and sausage was served in addition to the typical fruit, cereal, and bagels found at most chains' continental breakfasts.
On Monday, the 26th, we took the shuttle into New Orleans where we lunched. After taking a cab back to the hotel, we took the shuttle to the airport where we were dropped right at the USAir portal.
All in all, a terrific experience for a mere $149, and the staff with whom we dealt--Shannon, Sean, and Carlos--are to be commended for outstanding service.
The amenities--shuttle, room, breakfast--are really just about as good as anywhere I've traveled, and the staff is extremely helpful.
Even though our reason for staying at the hotel was somewhat arbitrary, we were very pleased with the experience of staying there.
