Stopped here on a Friday night in August on the way to a family reunion at a nearby state park. The drive-up is simply stunning. One wouldn't expect to see this kind of facility normally in this part of the country. It's a long way from anywhere, which is what makes it so unique. Because there were 8 of us, we had called ahead and had a reserved table. Everyone on the phone and during service was gracious and pleasant, but it took us almost an hour to get our food. Even though I can't say for certain, I think the kitchen particularly and possibly the serving staff were in the weeds most of the evening and possibly out of sync with each other. I travel often and understand being busy at meal times , especially at a destination oriented place. However, when a guest has to wait an hour for food ( and it wasn't just us), one has to wonder, what is the service level of the rest of the place, and would I make a trip to stay here, with that question in mind. The message to us was - you don't have anywhere else to eat, so we'll get to you when we can. I don't think that is the message they intended to send.
