“Over-priced and Over-hyped”
Reviewed January 29, 2013 via mobile

I recently had dinner here with a business associate and have to say I had big expectations after reading the reviews and hearing the hype. The atmosphere is OK, and if you like the Blue Dog artwork there is plenty to enjoy. That is about where the good ended for me. The food was marginal, my Mahi Mahi was overcooked and the portion was a bit small for the price. My associate had some gumbo/soup and really enjoyed it, but his fish was also overcooked. For the two of us with no drinks the bill was $60. Not quite what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber.

“Cajun Food Surrounded By Blue Dogs”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

If you like artist George Rodrigue's paintings with his "blue dog" this is the place. His works cover the walls. The food is excellent, so you get a great meal surrounded by artwork.
Try an appetizer; we enjoyed the Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms or the Shrimp en Brochette. You also may enjoy the gumbo or Crawfish Bisque. Menu is heavy with seafood dishes which is a staple for South Louisiana. If you go, expect lunch to cost around $50 for a party of two.

“Memorable Meal/Good Seafood”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

My husband and I shared a combination shrimp dinner that was excellent. It included shrimp gumbo, grilled , fried, stuffed shrimp and shrimp ettoufee on rice. Also fries that were awesome and a nice salad all for around $20. Very generous portions and seafood was fresh and well cooked. Happy hour till 7pm. $1.50 per beer. Dinner also included delicious bread sticks. It was a fabulous meal in a nice family casual atmosphere. So glad we shared our dinner.
