We arrived around midnight and left early the next morning, but the staff was very friendly. The room was clean but I prefer the other Hampton in Lafayette (which is actually in Scott. LA). I wasn't too thrilled with the location, but hotels always seem creepy when you arrive late at night.

Hotel is centrally located to everything in Lafayette. The hotel is off the main intersections far enough away from traffic and ambient noise. There's a nice area to walk around, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area.

The bed & coverlet were awful. Dirty in all corners of the room & behind the drapes. Mattresses have to be 100 yrs. old. Coverlet was so lumpy. Had to see & feel it to believe it. UGH !!!!!!!!!! Have always stayed in Hamptons w/o problems but this needs to be updated or closed.

We usually have really good experiences at Hampton Inn & Suites and this Hampton was good too but not the best we have stayed at. The front staff were very helpful (especially warning us of the potential for noisy kids staying in the hotel for a "ball tournament"). The warning came with an offer to take care of any situation should the noise disturb us...just needed to call the front desk. The room was ok and the self serve breakfast ok. We stayed for only the night so didn't use the pool or workout area. The main complaint that we had was the fact that this particular hotel was very, very difficult to find.....thank goodness for my IPhone! It was quite a ways off the beaten path, near the college (possibility of lots of kids) and not on the route we had planned (I booked while enroute and should have asked the reservationist for a better description of location). I made the false assumption that this was the Hampton I normally stayed in while traveling through to New Orleans. So should you go, be sure to get explicit directions when booking!

This is our second stay at Hampton and would recommend this hotel! Great stay. Décor is beautiful. Front desk staff are very personable and friendly. Room was very quiet and love, love the dark curtains for an afternoon nap.
