I was in Lafayette for the Film Festival and while there I was staying above Bonsai, at the Buchanan Lofts. Both the Lofts and Bonsai are located one street over from Main Street, which is amazingly alive and vivacious beginning Wednesday through to Saturday morning.
Bonsai is tastefully decorated with out being overwhelming. The staff are friendly and more importantly, professional by the way they conduct themselves and interact between themselves. If you needed something they were there without hovering or worse, gathered in a bunch, one eye staring at customers and the other glued to the clock.
The food was tasty, tasty fresh sushi with a great selection that includes kids and those who prefer their food cooked.
For the money, it was a complete surprise at how good it was.
Try it, you'll like it.
