“Great place to start your visit to Cajun country”
Reviewed March 22, 2012

This is a wonderful gem and a must start place when you visit Lafayette and the Cajun country. Gives you a great historical perspective, plus lots of interesting crafts and real life buildings to tour. Reasonable price and well maintained.

“Loved it!!!”
Reviewed March 3, 2012

This was an amazing cultural experience. We loved the setting, the people, the food in the restaurant, and the Saturday afternoon music jam.

“Old time Cajun experience”
Reviewed February 27, 2012

The employees are real Cajuns. They are friendly and eager to talk about Cajun culture. We particularly enjoyed the two musicians. Even though we visited on a weekday (few visitors), this didn't dampen the spirits of the Cajun hosts.

“Could have been better”
Reviewed February 26, 2012

This attraction is a reconstructed cajan village. All the building looked the same. One or two had people in costume doing crafts, but they didnt seem very interested. They could have made a lot more of it.

“Cajun History Lesson”
Reviewed February 24, 2012

If you don't know much about Cajun history in the area, this is a great place to visit. It is set up like a simple village full of artifacts from th 19th and early 20th centuries, and also period actors and craftsmen demonstrating how things were made. Quite interesting, but beware a lot of outdoor walking without AC.
