“A little dated”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013

Have stayed here for years but...
Last trip had a room with a toilet for a pre-schooler!! Not good for bad knees. Everything seemed a little old.
Casino is great and food decent. I arrived to have no one around at all for valet service or to help with bags. When I went inside to find someone I was told they were short on help..
After over 15 minutes finally a young lady came to take the car..still no help with luggage. Went inside and waited over 15 more minutes to check in...Never had been this way previously.
I am going to try the new hotel on the property next time.

We went to the Grand Hotel last December. We enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone there was helpful and nice. We are returning the end of Sept. We can hardly wait. The casino was loads of fun. We liked the refreshment area, too.Help yourself Coffee & sodas, was such a nice idea. No waiting for someone to serve you. I couldn't get enough of the coffee. Really good.

Went for the weekend to gamble and had a really good time. Hotel is older but very clean and the service was great! The outdoor swim up bar and water slides are fun. Having the restaurant choices all together in one area is great. Will be back again soon!

I came to celebrate a "50" birthday for a friend. While the room was clean, it appeared and felt very dated/old. There was also a moldy/musty smell on the entire floor. You could smell it the moment you got off of the elevator. I felt the room was overpriced and would probably stay somewhere else next time.

Enjoyed the new dream pool, especially the swim up bar. It would be nice if there was an adult only area, more supervision of children, or additional staff to supervise. Lots of children running in pool area. Not sure if children should have drinks in pool either. While in the hot tub, young children kept getting in and out. Staff would tell them to stay out, but the moment staff was not standing there, they would get back in.

I take long walks outdoors every morning and must say that the property from the RV park over to the gas station is beautifully landscaped, well maintained, and clean.

All employees I encountered at the hotel, casino, gas station, restaurant, & pool were absolutely wonderful. The housekeeping staff and pool bartenders were beyond expectation.

Room Tip: Try a different hotel property at the Casino Resort.

We decided to stay at the Grand Hotel because of the convenience to Kids Quest and that it has an indoor pool. The Grand can't compare to the Seven Clans. Seven Clans is by far a nicer hotel. We went to the pool around 8 in the evening. There were about 5 unsupervised kids eating chips and cookies in the hot tub. Kids under 12 aren't even supposed to be in the hot tub. Groups of people would knock on the door (because they didn't have a room key) and those kids would go open the door and let them in. There were used towels on every chair and didn't have one clean one on the towel shelves. A guy finally came out to restock the towels. I asked him if someone staying at the chalets are allowed in the pool. He told me that you can stay anywhere and have access to the pool. I was under the impression that the dream pool was for anyone. I feel cheated because for the amount of $$$ you pay to stay there with the convenience of having an indoor pool that stays open until 10, people who aren't even guests there can just go and also have that convenience although they aren't paying for it?!?! My last gripe is about having enough towels for 2 people when the room had double beds and an occupancy of 4 and the thermostat doesn't actually have numbers on it so you have no idea what it's set on. It's either freezing or too warm. This was definitely our first and last time at this hotel. Stay at the Seven Clans. It's cheaper and it's connected to the casino. Just have to walk a little further as compared to the Grand.

I booked a gambling trip with an outfit from the valley. I was AMAZED with the rooms because I've heard lots of stories about trips in which the hotels are usually rinky-dinky.... I'll tell you this was not the case! I have never stayed at a place as nice as this one! I WILL GO BACK!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Valet service for our car and luggage was great. I asked a housekeeper for laundry bags and was asked what else I wanted and offered several things we might need. The hotel was quiet. The casino is connected to the hotel, which is very convenient. The only drawback for many will be that the hotel allows smoking. I had to wash clothes from our suitcase, that we had not worn, when we got home because they smelled like smoke. (We did not smoke in the room!)
