It's batter for the fish allows it to be moist and yet not crispy, may be troblesome for some however I enjoyed the full flavor of fresh fish. Friendly envioronment.

Two things to do before heading over to gamble at the Coushatta Casino; 1st is fill up your gas tank for the trip home, and 2nd is to put aside enough cash to eat at Faustos after you lose your shirt at the tables, ha ha. As the title suggests, Faustos has been a really consistent stopover for my family for the past 20+ years... and today was no exception. Cajun Seafood is on the menu, with everything from shrimp to crawfish baked potatoes. Everything that we have tried here has been excellent (I didn't try the gator yet though, as I'm not a gator fan - Go Coogs!). Another nice thing to consider is that the dining area has a "down home in Louisiana" feel to it, with an interesting collage of stuffed wildlife and photos to view while devouring the tasty fare. The menu is located on the wall in front of the ordering counter, so you are ready to order when your turn comes up. Our only disappointment today was that they were out of oysters. Enjoy!

The place sits on the main road to large casino about 6 miles northeast. We spent $30 for two lunch baskets. Maybe if the food had been exceptional then I could overlook this. The fried catfish was heavily breaded and the sides were typical. They didn't even have fresh lemon for our waters but only lemon concentrate packets. Even Waffle Houses have fresh lemon.

The atmosphere was awesome and that made eating $30 less than average food all the better. Lots of "trophies" on the wall. Looked like a typical man cave. Lots of posters and plaques with pithy remarks.

This is casual dining with an upscale price. We would definitely not eat here again.
