First this "Motel" is what it is. We did not stay here by choice, rather the office put us up here. The staff is very friendly and there is a brand new Ihop attached to the motel. This place would be fine for 1 night, but we were there on business for 7 and because of the Super Bowl there was no where else to go. That said, you are right next to the airport and the planes start taking off at around 530AM and you will hear each and every one. Also there is a train that sometimes rolls through anywhere from midnight to 3AM and the conductor seems to get pleasure out of blowing the horn when he passes by the motel...some advice, turn on the fan on your ac/heater unit and the white noise will help cut down on the planes & trains.
As far as the room, some have been "redone" others have not. I was orginally put in a room that wasn't and it was filthy. I was then moved to a new room and it was ok. All of the lamps and light fixtures are rusted and what ever you do, don't look in the corners of the room as you will see stains and hair, etc there and it will gross you out. The fridge and microwave seemed new and they worked fine, but not all rooms are equipt. The shower curtain seemed new but the towels seemed old and ratty, just hope they use a lot of bleach when they wash them.
The parking lot was well lit, but there didn't seem to be any security around. The drive to New Orleans takes about 20 mins and you could walk to the airport.

Very friendly staff that showed great service (Emily). I was able to check into the room early without any problems on the day of the Superbowl. Next door is an Ihop!!! The food at the Ihop was GREAT!! Thank you for a brief and pleasant stay!

Very friendly staff. Next door is an Ihop!! Other than that, there is nowhere to walk. Sat by the pool and it was ver clean. Cheerful decorations for Mardi Gras. Do not, do not, do not get any rooms on the back side of this hotel! All the others are perfectly fine. No Wifi in these rooms and you will "enjoy" hearing the trains blast their horns all day and night. And don't forget the airport is directly across the street so you hear every single plane go overhead. We didn't mind the planes but finally got used to hearing the trains. They only offer a few TV channels so don't think you will be able to enjoy a lot of TV stations. I will still say that the stay was very pleasant and I would go here again in a heartbeat.

Convenient location for airport travel and good service overall. 24 hour I-Hop on premisis was a plus. Rooms seem well maintained and the hotel felt secure. Staff on duty was very attentive and helpful. Thank you for a brief but pleasant stay!

if you're looking for a good nights sleep DON'T GO HERE!!! between the planes, a/c's loud noise and the trains that pass all night i didn't sleep a wink. the room was musky and the bathroom.... uggh, between the toilet not flushing and housekeeping. for travelers flying into New Orleans this is a poor introductory to the city.

Ok, let me start off by saying that I had no choice in where I would stay, this hotel was chosen by my employer. The pictures really do look nice on line, and are very deceiving. Upon check in my room had what appeared to be several old crime scene stains covering the entire carpet. I made the mistake of taking off my shoes and walking into the bathroom area... found that the entire floor was saturated with what I pray was just water... The carpet actually had standing water covering the entire area.. I'm pretty sure if and when the room was cleaned, the major water leak should have been noticed. I was moved to another room. My co-worker's room was even more of a treat! He had what appeared to be blood stains trailing from the carpet into the bathroom. The entertainment center was broken, so the TV and drawers slid out but could not be pushed back in. With a little creative woodwork he was able to place it under the entertainment center so that he could actually put his belongings in a drawer and close them. He requested that his comforter be changed because of a giant cigarette burn... they replaced it with one that had a very large disturbing white stain on it. Needless to say we RAN out of this place the next day and went to the Comfort Inn Suites, which was a major improvement!!!!

Room Tip: Tip... don't stay here!
