After having Beignet's down in the French Quarter at the original Cafe Du Monde, we were shocked to see one with a drive through out by the airport in Kenner just down the street (about a mile) from our Country Inn. On our way out of town, we drove through and took Beignet's to go for the trip over the Bayou. If you don't know Beignet, it is a french pastry served hot, flakey and dusted with powdered sugar. Definitely worth the trip!
