We went to this new restaurant because it had been highly rated and described as fantastic by about 20 diners I found on other restaurant rating services. We found this restaurant to be good, but certainly not excellent. Service was below average - had to remind waitress to bring salads after the entrees' were served, asked waitress for tea and she filled my glass -- but ignored the other empty glasses on the table. The combined judgment of the diners in our group indicated the Sushi was very good to excellent, the steaks were above average, the salads were pitiful, the baked potatoes were average, the beer was ice cold, the onion rings were average - tasted like they were the frozen variety, the shrimp poboys were average, and the fried fish was average. I would return because Hammond has very few decent restaurants, but would not make a special trip to dine at this restaurant. This was a railroad station in its former life and it is neat for Amtrak to pass about 20 feet away.
