Stayed here for a week or so in April. Basic Motel 6. Price was right. No major problems came up during the stay. Staff was helpful. Good Community Coffee in the lobby. Easy access to both New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

We had an accident in Albany LA and we were towed to a shop, Big Wheel, in Hammond. We moved in to the Motel 6 after a couple of days at another local place for the sake of our dog! The Motel 6 h a nice courtyard and is near soccer fields.... Nice if you have a pet. However, the hotel itself has seen better days! Staff was friendly and accommodating. This hotel is near a freeway = noisy. Rooms are adequate but 2nd rate at best. Passable but without dog, wouldn't stay here again.
The shower had lots of hot water and worked well. Other than that the place is pretty worn out. Looks like a 1970's Holiday Inn that's had several reincarnations. The bed was soft and springy. Sheets ant towels very worn. The TV had no remote. Generally felt grubby and needed a redo all around. Not up to Motel 6 standards, if that tells you something.
The room is big and clean. The water pressure in the shower is awesome. Room only $39 plus tax. I would stay here again / recommend this place to friends and family.
Rooms were clean, but not updated recently. I would guess early to mid 90s. We had a room near the check in desk on the second level. Our room had a king bed in it. They didn't have a fitted sheet on it at all. There was just a flat sheet which didn't tuck in to the mattress. The toilet ran for a good part of the night and the highway is really loud. Motel 6 also charges per person which seems really odd to me. We paid $60 a night. You get what you pay for. We just slept there so it really wasn't a big deal. The sheets and shower were clean and the room is in decent condition. The staff was very friendly though! Don't expect alot and you'll be fine.
Friendly staff...good room...a little difficult to find...but overall a good experience.
