Easily the best experience I have had in Vietnam, by a massive margin. We checked out the Hang Va caves and were hosted by Phong, the best guide we could have asked for. Make no mistake - the adventure is physically difficult and you WILL need an above-average level of fitness AND strength to do it (since it involves some climbing around boulders and sharp rocks). The caves are utterly beautiful, as is the jungle. Bring a camera - the guide and assistants set up lights for you to get some really good shots. The camp is quite rustic but well organised, and I recommend that you actually join the support staff for a few drinks after dinner, as it's a really good time. I can't praise these guys enough - it is a very, very well run operation.

Thank Neil M

Everyone must take this opportunity; it is sensational. The trip we chose was the Tu Lan Encounter and it was exactly how it was described or even better. Our guide Ken and his crew were professional, funny, caring and always one step ahead. Everything was incredibly well organised. We were served a feast at every opportunity.

What to wear? We chose to wear own trekking boots and swimming shoes. This took a bit of changing when faced with a river to cross but we were comfortable and dry. Others wore trainers and just walked through the rivers and stayed wet. Choose what suits you best. Take mosquito repelant - deet is best. We got 90% deet and it worked.

Thank you to Ken (Tarzan) and his team of porters and chefs! And so the moon, the moon... ;)

I booked and didn't know what to expect from this Tu Lan Caves system expedition but it turned out to be one of the most amazing experience trip. I am not an outdoor type of person but this converted me. From the moment I Ianded in Vietnam then met the tour staff at the collection points it was all an enjoyable and fun journey. Oxalis tour staff are professional & conscientious. Safety is an important aspect and participants got looked after very well. Swimming inside 3-4 million year old cave in the dark and looking at the caves reflections in the river were the most amazing that ones have to experience it. The scenery were breathing taking. Fresh cooked food for the duration of the trip and the group had a simple but beautiful farewell lunch at a sweet humble local eating house near Oxalis office before got dropping back at the departure point. I have no hesitation to go on to another tour with Oxalis. These caves and the surrounding are beautifully spectacular.

Just came back from their 1 say Tu Lan tour and My only regret us I didn't pick the longer one! They are an amazing company. Very professional, well trained and friendly. They take care of everything and provide anything you could need during the excursion, from basics to small comforts. They made it smooth, safe but At the same time adventurous, interesting, fun. We had the feeling of real trek in the Jungle, had the chance to explore, cave, swim in a hidden River. Stunning nature, wondeful mood. Campsite us also very good. Food, tends... Groups are small, which makes it even more peaceful and cozy. Definite the best Experience in our Vietnam trip sofar. The downside: Maybe a bit too expensive and.. If you have time, do the the 2 days/1night. It must be really amazing!!!

Do not hesitate, just book this tour, it is one of the coolest things I ever did in my life. The trek is physically challenging, but do-able. Oxalis is super professional and safe. The guides are loads of fun to spend time with. They are super knowlegable, speak good english, and really create a great group dynamic.
