Excellent variety of breakfast and the staff are warm and friendly. In particular, one of the waiters (Bokey) greeted us with a fist pump and accommodated all our requests for food and drinks that were off the menu, eg fresh ginger tea and pomegranate juice.

We stayed at Anantara Veli (see separate hotel review), where 73 degrees is the restaurant used for breakfast and dinner buffets. We particularly liked the breakfast selection, that had great variety (western, Asian, Middle Eastern and Maldivian choices), excellent quality and very attentive service....and good coffee. A particular shout-out to Bokey, as when we told him we both arrived a bit under the weather, took it upon himself to be our personal physician, ensuring we had fresh ginger and mint tea the first two days.
We also ate at 73 Degrees one evening, and while the seafood buffet was good, we felt it a little expensive (USD105 each ++) compared to the resorts a la carte restaurants (Japanese, Italian, Thai and Surf+Turf).
I think we will miss the turquoise blue waters and the breakfast the most!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Anantara. The daily breakfast at 73 degrees was wonderful. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Saleem in particular took great care of us during our stay.
