“Absolutely lovely!”
Reviewed August 4, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We had a wonderful time at Kilcootry Barn. The Barn is so warm, cosy and full of personality. The furniture and decoration are beautiful: you feel like in a magazine house and yet we felt most welcome, it was just like home! The garden is lovely and full of flowers that smell wonderful. It is absolutely quiet and peaceful (you can't hear a sound from the road) and yet very accessible from major roads. Spotlessly clean! (and very effective shower!) One of the best places we have stayed at. Anne was most kind and helpful. Thank you very much!!

“Fabulous setting”
Reviewed December 3, 2016 for a stay in August 2015

Driving up to Kilcootry Barn gave us a taste of what was to come. The large grounds were beautifully manicured, and the converted barns could have been off a chocolate box cover. Inside was spacious and filled with interesting nick nacks. We were 2 older couples and a teenager, and we had plenty of room. The upstairs living area is huge. Although Anne runs a thriving floristry business, she made us feel so welcome. It truly felt like being given the run of someone's home. The open plan kitchen was a joy to work in. The bathroom was charmingly appointed, with some lovely little touches. Although it rained for our whole stay, we didn't feel hemmed in at all. We even caught a glimpse of rabbits hopping around outside the lounge window!
I would definitely recommend Annes's lovely home without reservation.

“A little piece of heaven ”

A little piece of heaven! After spending 20 year's travelling the world and staying in alot of hotels this place is an absolute gem and would recommend it to anyone. My mum was recovering from an operation and Anne let us use her apartment next door so as my mum wouldn't have to go up and down the stairs to use the bathroom. Everything inside the barn is stunning and top quality , Anne bent over backwards to ensure we had a memorable stay. She is such a busy lady but still made time to make us some fresh scones , jam and dig us up some of her own potatoes. Please book early to avoid disappointment this place has got to be seen to be believed. My only regret was that I had to go home after a week. I will definitely be back and some family members have already booked in after just seeing the place!! You will not be disappointed.

“Disappointing . . . .”
Reviewed September 6, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Recommend booking early and have in mind a suitable alternative as one week before travelling I was contacted to advise owner had double booked and subsequently we could not stay and we were placed in an unsuitable alternative self catering basic unit at very last minute as flights secured.

Proceed with caution.

“Book early so you don't miss out!”
Reviewed September 4, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

I was only able to book one night at Kilcootry Barn, with 4 adults and one teenager, so if you want to stay here, I would advise you book early, and stay for at least a few days. We did not want to leave. It was breathtakingly beautiful from the minute we drove up the driveway. I looked out the window and there were rabbits romping on the lawn. For a townie like me it was great! The cottage itself was artistically appointed, with so many lovely touches. It felt like being trusted to step into someone's home with all their little possessions that made it feel like a home away from home. The bedrooms and living area were all really spacious and the kitchen/diner was excellent. Even though the weather was miserable, the cottage was cosy, and Anne could not have been more friendly or helpful. I would highly recommend a stay here.

“Fantastic Stay at the Kilcootry Barn”
Reviewed August 16, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

High praise for Anne and her Kilcootry Barn. We travelled with 4 adults and two children and were very comfortable here. The accommodations were outstanding. The flowers outside we bursting with color and very inviting. The home was clean, warm and inviting. Anne thought of every detail a traveller would need. She had fresh eggs, milk, tea and treats awaiting us upon check in. Anne also left homemade scones with her own jam one morning after a rather late evening in the pub. The adults and children enjoyed touring the fields of sheep, chickens, goats, a pony and a couple of alpacas. I did not want to leave. I will recommend to all friends and family touring Ulster to stay with Anne. Her hospitality is above and beyond any others in the local area.

PS. Anne is an accomplished florist who arranged a bouquet for our family grave in no time at all and it was positively lovely.

We stayed at the Barn for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The Barn is beautifully decorated and is very comfortable. Anne is very helpful and had stocked the kitchen with essentials including some of the nicest bread I have ever eaten.

There are lots of places to visit in the area and we would definitely stay here again.
