Description: DON'S SEAFOOD More Than Eighty Years of Exceptional Seafood South Louisiana locals and visitors have been drawn to DON'S authentic Cajun cuisine for more than 80 years. Menu selections including traditional Landry family recipes, and more recent original creations like Zydeco Shrimp, are well worth repeat visits. Many stop in daily for oysters on the half shell or boiled crawfish in season. DON'S bartenders serve Signature Old Fashioned cocktails alongside the newest specialty drinks, many made with Louisiana products. DON'S SEAFOOD began in 1934, when Don Landry opened his first restaurant and bar in downtown Lafayette with $400 borrowed from his uncle. Prohibition had just been lifted and at only 24 years old, he envisioned serving drinks and offering a simple menu featuring fresh local seafood. Four generations later, the Landry family has expanded that humble beginning into what would eventually become the DON'S SEAFOOD of today. Continuing the tradition, the Landry family still owns and operates each location. An extensive menu of original South Louisiana Cajun family recipes, the freshest Gulf seafood and sizzling steaks is offered. Each location boasts a unique Acadiana-inspired décor, all have a full-service bar and grill, perfect for casual diners or sports enthusiasts. Every DON'S SEAFOOD grill features an open charbroiler where diners can watch exclusive dishes being prepared like DON'S Original Jacked Up Oysters loaded with bacon, jalapenos and pepper jack cheese. Whether you're just passing through South Louisiana or live right around the corner, you'll find a DON'S SEAFOOD location near you in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Denham Springs, Gonzales, Hammond, Covington and Metairie.

Great seafood and crawfish pasta. But it was a little over priced.

We went on a week night so there was no wait. The bread they bring out ahead of time was nice. Service was ok...expected better since there were only a few people in the restaurant. I'm not a fan of cajun food...i can't handle spice, but my kids and husband are fans of it. The only "normal" food choices they had were on the kids menu. I thought they were kind of pricey for their offerings. i had brolied shrimp in a citrus sauce. Well there was hardly and sauce but an overabundance of their in house season..think spicy lawry's. Not impressed at all...no sauce had to get drawn butter on the side to make it taste more than glorified peel and eat shrimp. It was also $17.99 and I got maybe 8 shrimp. So I didn't care for the place and the chicken fingers the kids got were made out of the fake stuff mcdonalds and bk make their nuggets out of

Had not been to a Don's restaurant, a long time chain originating in Lafayette, for years until this new one opened close to home. Have visited several times. Great oyster bar. Everything we have tried has been good. Good promotions. Very good and well trained wait staff.

We ate here because it was very close to our hotel (Country Inn and Suites). We actually picked up our food (long day and wanted to just relax back in the room). The food was excellent, and a great price. I'm originally from the area, so felt good to get some hometown seafood when arriving back in town. Don's seafood did not disappoint. Great value.
