I'm giving the restaurant 3 out of 5 due to it being well presented and the good service provided by the staff. However, the food was not good quality but we did pay £12 for 3 courses so this could be the reason, I guess they have to make a profit and that has been done by serving low quality food. Bar area too small to be comfortable..

Came here after finding the hotel we were staying at restaurant was closed. We were lucky it was, as we would have missed a great meal. Went on a Wednesday evening, had not booked but got fitted in, not in the conservatory which obviously is the favourite but a nice room behind. Was pleasantly surprised three course fixed price menu available in evening as it was good sized portions and really nice. Pleasant local staff and nice modern background music, Don't hesitate to come here.
