Overcooked fried seafood, should be golden brown not dark brown. Terrible presentation. Crabmeat imperial looked and tasted like nursing home mush. The crabmeat etouffe was overcooked and lacking of flavor and contained way too much salt. In fact, most dishes seemed to be overwhelmed by the sodium content. Any restaurant using American cheese, not a real cheese, is not up to par.

Excellent Oysters Bienville and crab imperial. The sides (all potato dishes) are OK, but I would have preferred dirty rice or some vegetables. The bread pudding was a little too sweet for my taste, but made very well the entrance to the dining room is strange, through an interior door from the bar. The decor is dated and needs some serious updating. But the food is very good. Wait time was only 15-20 minutes even on the Saturday night before Mardi Gras, and the restaurant was full. Yet we did not feel rushed at all. Overall, very good seafood at fair prices for the quality of the cocking.

The food was excellent. It seems that everything on the menu is good. The food was seasoned to perfection. Wait staff is very knowledgeable.

Riverside Inn specializes in crab entrees, but all of their food is delicious! Stuffed mushrooms, crab appetizers, seafood gumbo, crab augratin, and split pea soup are the best! The location is a little hard to find since it is tucked away off Hwy 90, but the seclusion adds to the appeal. The service is always excellent and very accomodating even for large groups. This restaurant is definitely a first choice for special occasions. Delicious!! :)

We had a very good meal in the cottage. The stuffed catfish was wonderful. The split pea soup was the best part of the meal. It is a special recipe for our special occasion. The bread pudding was extremely good if you like cinnamon.
