“Zydeco breakfast will start your weekend out right!”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

You have to be in line up early on a Saturday morning to get there before the band starts playing at 8:30 a.m., and pay a $5 cover charge (reimbursed if you order certain food), but get a spicy bloody mary in hand and get your body moving to the music before your table is ready and you will have started your weekend off right! There is a dance floor in front of the band; even if you don't dance, watching those that do is lots of fun. The food is good and filling - get the boudin starter - unique and delicious. It takes a few hours from waiting to get in, to hanging out at the bar, to getting your table, ordering and getting the food, but you are in no rush to get out of the fun.

“Best crawfish I've ever had!”
Reviewed October 9, 2012 via mobile

Stayed at the Maison des Aime and was given vouchers for lunch. Both experiences were wonderful! The B&B was very clean and comfortable. Very reasonably priced at $115 for the night. The room (#1) had a super comfy queen-sized bed and huge claw-footed tub. The only negative was some street noise, but the room had a white noise machine that drowned it out. (The other rooms would not have the noise as they are at the side/rear of house.)
The cafe experience was just as good. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I had the crawfish enchaladas and my husband the crawfish étouffée. Both dishes were most enjoyable. The étouffée had some heat to it so if you're not into spice be ware. The dirty rice and creamed corn side were also to die for. I wish I'd had room for dessert!

“Food & service excellent!”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

We stopped by for Sunday morning breakfast. I had the best turtle soup I have ever had, with sherry to add, then biscuits smothered in shrimp, crab & crawfish etouffe and two eggs on top! Excellent!! Our waitress was great as well. Next time we'll go Saturday morning to catch the Zydeco music. The waitress said to arrive around 7am as they open at 7.30am and the line has already formed.

“Fun place to go”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

Zydeco breakfast on Saturday mornings is a must for any visitor to Acadiana! But dinner is also great and there is often live music on wednesdays.

“Mais, dat place is Yummy!”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

Delicious place to stop for breakfast on the weekends, lunch on the weekdays. We opted for a late lunch after a day of hitting the antique/2nd hand shops around Breaux Bridge! Food was delicious; the way Cajun food should be done. It's a smaller restaurant so you get more of the mom and pop cooking on a sophisticated level, but still casual and fun atmosphere. I haven't been yet but if you want to go for the Zydeco breakfast on Saturday mornings YOU BETTER GET THERE EARLY. I tried a few weekends ago but it was booked up at 9:30am. Usually a line outside the building. Breakfast is reasonably priced and I believe its $5 cover to listen to some amazing live music while you dine! Call ahead for reservations. A definite place to stop in if you are in the area any time of the day/week!
