“Pretty And Safe”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

Summer or winter, every day provides a different view. Birds to alligators to sunsets as well as friendly visitors and locals. Safe, as long as you follow the rules and great for photographers, on land or in a boat. I've gone numerous times with Champagnes tours and hundreds of times, walked along the levy and always enjoyed it, gotten awesome photos, met some interesting people.

“Best for Photographers”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

I am a wildlife photographer, from the northwest. I wanted a tour guide that not only knew, but understood the environment, and was willing to share the information. Shaun went above and beyond all my expectations. He not only knew the area, but was willing to get us as close to the birds as possible. While 'gators are the attraction... go for the birds. It was too cold for gators, and the birds Shaun helped spot, made this the highlight of my trip.

If I ever get this way again.. ... I would pick this over any other attraction in LA.

This absolutely is the BEST TOUR of our trip. Many thanks Shaun !!!

“Swamp Tour”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

My family stopped on our way to Austin to break up the trip from Jacksonville, Florida and experience a different part of the country. The tour was absolutely amazing. It was unfortunately a cold day, but we bundled up and headed out onto Lake Martin. Our tour guide Forest explained the area to us and pointed out beautiful wild life. We were thrilled to see a gator, which on
cold days tend to hide in the mud. Worth stopping.....

“unforgettable”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Very nice moment, out of the time. We saw so many animals (alligators, lot of birds including 2 eagles), it was so magic.
We made the tour with Norbert Leblanc (LeBlanc Swamp Tour), a true autenthic engaging Cajun and alligators hunter who speaks French. He knows the lake very well and takes time for explaining and telling stories (true or legends ... never knows).

“Hidden gem in Louisiana Cajun country”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

We did a swamp tour of Lake Martin (Champagnes) and were amazed at the richness of the flora and fauna inches from our small, silent boat. As dusk fell, the scene transitioned from sparkling reflections bouncing off the open water to soft green and gray shadows growing larger each minute. With the setting sun, random beams of yellow light would suddenly pierce the tall trees with sheets of spanish moss to illuminate the huge ivory flowers of water lilies, or catch a dragonfly's wings as it rested on a cypress knee. The tour guide expertly guided the boat through the smallest of passages, quietly allowing us to enjoy the beauty and subtle sounds of nature around us as we silently slid through a carpet of tiny green floating water plants. I would definitely recommend seeing Lake Martin at dawn or dusk to enjoy the incredible beauty and serenity of this treasure.
