First of all ask for Sean as your guide. Unlike many other swamp tours this guy grew up in these swamps and knows where to see baby alligators to the elusive oyster mushroom or his eyes can spot an egret eating an eel. His eyes give you the advance warning you need to not scare anything away and get that "great shot". He knows the history and also how the swamp fits into our Eco system. His dad is a zoologist and botanist so he come from great lineage to talk about these things. Great job, Sean.

Very relaxing tour. Guide was knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. Well worth the price. The tour is at a slow pace which allows for wonderful photo opportunities. No mosquitoes, which is a plus. This is our second tour and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time.

Yesterday on our way home from New Orleans back to Texas I called, made reservations for the 4:00 tour, and the lady taking reservations called us back, said we were much closer than we thought & could probably make the 1:30 tour. We were almost there when our navigation failed us so we called and were guided in, and Butch was holding the boat with the last 4 seats for us, (about 5 minutes).....so grateful to him & the other tourists!! We saw several gators, babies too, several types of birds, trees, plants. My 13 yr old & 7 yr old really enjoyed it, fantastic tour for everyone!! Butch sure knows his business, and he does it well!!!

Our group of 8 ranged from age 27 to 83, and we all had a great time. Butch was very informative and he had us captivated from the beginning. And I also have to compliment the young lady taking the reservations... she was able to coordinate everything and get us booked to go with only a couple hours notice. Thanks for an interesting and fun time!

This is a wonderful tour - even in the dead of winter when the alligators are asleep. Shawn showed us owls and hundreds of types of birds, trees and plants and took us through the beautiful swamps and bayous that he grew up in. Fascinating, beautiful, and a privilege to spend time with someone who is passionate about protecting his home. Please support this eco tour above the others, preserving this stunning landscape is so important!
