“In or around Baton Rouge, you gotta stop at Sammy's”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2014

Got a recommendation from a friend to stop at Sammy's on my trip from Florida to Texas. I wanted to find a place where I could get some Crawfish. Well, I struck gold on this place. The crawfish was amazing. In addition to the crawfish, we had Fried Cheese Sticks and Fried Pickles. Both were made there and were AMAZING!!! They were the biggest Fried Mozzarella sticks I have ever seen. The marinara sauce was good with a little Cajun bite to it as well. I finished the meal off with an amazing White Chocolate Blueberry Bread Pudding that was to die for as well. The service was good as well. Be prepared to wait for a table as this place gets pretty busy but it was well worth the wait.

“Excellent Crawfish Destination”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2014

If you are looking for great boiled crawfish and an enjoyable experience, Sammy's is a great place! These guys REALLY know how to throw down a boil! The seasoning was perfect!

We had a WONDERFUL experience eating there with the family. The atmosphere was upbeat and everyone around us was having a good time. We ate outside. The servers were very friendly and on the spot, and everything we ate tasted great. I'm originally from Louisiana, so coming back to well-seasoned crawfish is a great treat. We will DEFINITELY be back when we visit!

“Great seafood. Be prepared to wait.”

We always enjoy the gumbo, boiled crawfish, and fried seafood. I always bring guests here because of the variety on the menu.

“Seafood”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2014

Sammy's is the only place in town to get hot, boiled seafood, especially shrimp. That being said, I have had overcooked shrimp (mushy and/or rubbery) and boiled crabs that were cold (I'm sorry but where I come from that is lame). The rest of the menu is standard fare for the region; fried, fried fried or sauced to death.

“Consistently Good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

One of the best in town for seafood. Crawfish in spring are great. They stay busy. So don't get in a hurry. However, they do move them through quickly.
