It's big. Rooms are nice. But be ready to pay for it. If you visit this place on a regular basis (as I use to), you will be very disappointed in their comps. I use to drop $400-$600 on thier craps tables weekly. But I have never been comped a room. I always get a (as in one) free buffet, but they exclude me on "crab night" and weekends. Don't waste your time here. Take a two hour ride south and play at real casinos on the coast.
The Beau Rivage and Hard Rock Casinos are much more appreciative of your patronism!

We were invited to a family reunion here. When I RSVP that I'd be taking my minor son, I was informed that he wouldn't be allowed in the restaurant. What?!?!? Sure enough I called the hotel. To get to the buffet restaurant you have to cross the casino floor. No kids allowed!! And as a resident of East Baton Rouge parish, I voted for a tax increase to build roads to this place!! I wish I could take my vote back. What a crock!! Only in Louisiana!!

Room Tip: If you're traveling with kids, do not stay here!! Your kids won't be allowed to enter the b...

My husband and I only stayed here for a night but it was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. We will be back again!

The check in was nice and simple, staff very friendly and he gave us a room with a view of the Mississippi River.

We walked into our room and my jaw dropped, the view of the river was amazing, the room was nice and spacious and just gorgeous! Nice wooden floorboards as you walk in then the rest is carpet, there are beautiful mirrors everywhere, nice closet, big TV. The bathroom was AMAZING. There is a TV in the mirror!! The shower is HUGE and you can easily fit 2 people in, the toilet was separate. There wasn't any fridge or microwave in the room.

The room was very very clean and we didn't hear any noise from neighbouring rooms.

In the lift area they have cookies and ice cold water in the evenings and coffee and muffins in the morning. Check out was nice and simple you don't even have to go to reception you can check out on the TV.

You would need a hire car if you were staying here and wanting to visit places as this Casino isn't within walking distance to anything.

We will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: A room with a view of the Mississippi River is a must!

Beautiful interiors - sleeping room had a huge shower, TV in the bathroom mirror. We had breakfast and lunch brought in for a meeting and it was all excellent food and service. Nice big flat screen TV and comfortable bed. View of the river if your room is on that side of the hotel. Rooftop pool is lovely. A little different floor plan in that the casino, restaurant, and bar are across from the hotel but you can access without going outdoors via elevator or escalator or just walk across the ground floor valet area which is covered. Mini muffins by the elevator on each floor in the hotel and they were terrific. Great fitness room with 3 treadmills, 2 stair climbers, 2 or 3 bicycles, free weights, etc.

Only downside was the address isn't in GPS and finding the place can be challenging - even the bellman told me they need better signage. And I'm not a coffee drinker but no coffee in the rooms.

From a Baton Rouge native, this is the best place to put anyone up for the weekend, to stay for an LSU game, or to just have a stay-a-cation -- if you're into that sort of thing. 3 restaurants on the property, a decent pool, great views and gaming. It really lacks "entertainment" other than gambling but no where in Baton Rouge has as much in one place.

The L'Auberge Hotel and casino just opened up in Baton Rouge, LA. It's
situated right on a lazy stretch of Mississippi River where river traffic is
very minimal. Sunsets were beautiful from the rooftop pool and Cabana area.
The rooms are spacious and very clean. 2 views from the hotel floor; the
Mississippi River and Bayou or the parking lot and City of Baton Rouge. We
chose the River side and a bright sunset (WEST). The parking lot side (EAST)
encompassed their massive parking areas, the City of Baton Rouge and the
Mississippi River bridge. Normal room amenities included cable, internet and
a spotless bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, body wash with a TV in the
bathroom mirror. Free coffee and lemonade in the elevator area on every
floor, muffins in the morning and cookies at check-in time of 4PM. Covered
parking if you get there early enough. The Casino is large and almost every
machine had someone sitting at it. Problems for non-smokers, the entire
casino area is full of cigarette smoke and we could only take about 30
minutes of playing the one armed bandits. The casino area is kept up by
numerous employees cleaning up after thoughtless gamblers. Free soda and
coffee in the casino area. The atria area near the casino has restrooms, a 4
Star restaurant..."Restaurant 18", seating and an observation deck that
showcases the Mississippi River. There is also an additional restaurant for
sandwiches and sporting events on at least 30 plus size monitors. The bar
staff there was very generous with their pours (Thanks, Brian). Restaurant
18 is named for Louisiana being the 18th State to enter the Union. The food
is 4 star and one can stroll the large observation deck while waiting for
their order. The wait staff was professional and knowledgeable about all
facets of the menu and food prep. Our waiter was imposing, being a former
inside-linebacker for a local college. He was funny, professional and if I
had a 4 star restaurant, would have been my choice to serve my very best
customers. We also met the Manager and congratulated him on 18 being a fine
restaurant. It's that kind of place, personable and charming. For you
Louisiana State University guests, this Hotel is literally right down the
road from LSU. Good place to visit the kids and catch a sunset from the 12th
floor rooftop pool while sipping drinks.

Room Tip: Get the West facing rooms for a great sunset. The East side is of the parking lot and Baton Rouge in...
