As an avid fine diner, as well as a Steakhouse lover, when we were visiting Baton Rouge after my daughter's competition, we were in search of a good meal.
After talking to a few locals as well as reviews on a few sites, we opted to try Sullivan's and we were pleased!
Our waiter, Justin, was great. He knew his menu, had great suggestions, and also recommended us an awesome pineapple martini that was just to die for. All the wait staff were knowledgeable and very attentive.
The ambiance in the restaurant is a bit typical, nothing over the top extraordinary, but very nice. I was pleased to see quite a few other tables with small children there along side of us (we dined with an 18 month old and a 3 year old who loved, loved, loved their shrimp and all the cherries our servers brought them).
The food was excellent. I had a filet that could run along side Ruth's or Mr. John's and any other fine dining steak house we've been too. Sides were great and the dessert even better.
Is it a cheap meal? No. But that's to be expected in great steakhouse.
We will definitely be back again soon.
