The food is OK, don't eat there too late! Also I once found a fly in my food from the buffet. I really dont know wht else to say. Their pies are not homemade.

Soup beans and corn bread, fried chicken and much more on the buffet. Reminded me of my Grandmothers cooking!

Went here on a Sunday because we heard they had a breakfast buffet. Found out the buffet was stopped about a year ago. Nonetheless, the breakfast was great, w/ large portions and excellent quality. Price was inexpensive. They do have buffet lunches and dinners, which we would like to try, but we are hundreds of miles away. Give Cantuckee a try--local reviews are very good.

Got off at the exit because of all the usual "fast food". Saw the sign for Cantuckee Diner so we drove by just to see. From the outside, it was not very promising but we took a chance. Very clean inside, and a very friendly staff. We had the all you could eat dinner buffet. Fried Chicken, pork chops, beef stew, chicken and dumplings, mashed potatoes, stewed tomatoes, collards, salad, soup, drinks and dessert. all for $8.99! Yes $8.99 a person. Food was great. good flavor, very tasty. was able to have an Ale-8-one, a ginger ale made locally, actually across the street. Nothing fancy here folks. But for a clean, friendly, place with down home cookin' this is the spot!

We travel full-time and if are not in a kitchenette hotel room HAVE to eat out daily. So when we checked into the local Best Western and asked for a referral they suggested the CANtukee Diner. Terry was REALLY looking forward tot he chicken n dumplin's but they only serve that on Thursday (it was a Tuesday when we stopped) or Sunday, so he had a hot open faced sandwich. I had the buffet and enjoyed the salisbury steak. The salad was fresh, coleslaw was good and not too runny.

In the parking lot were 2 tour busses, and inside pictures of country music stars at each table. We chose to sit at George Strait's table and had enough food to take home for seconds later that night.

The food isn't super special, but home made to us is ALWAYS better than typical franchise fare. We'll stop again for breakfast before we leave town.

Cost for two of us was $18 plus tip. Our waitress was fun. We left her a $5 tip.
