While driving through the country this Holiday weekend, we came across this roadside dive. Not sure what to expect walking in we were very surprised. The patio and bar were not your typical dining atmospheres. The view outside was unique. Our waitress recommended some cocktails, which were very refreshing on a hot day. We were expecting greasy spoon menu items, but much to my surprise, there were several different options. I had the cornbread salad and my husband had the smoked wings. Both were delicious. Definitely worth checking out. I will be back.

Out driving around and wanted a place to eat in Winchester. Looked up restautants in Tripadvisor and followed directions which took us along a narrow road to the back water of the Kentucky River. We were seated right away on the deck. The atmosphere was great. We ordered cornbread salad and soup of the day, along with the pulled pork dinner. Soup was wonderful and the salad and dressing were fine. The pulled pork was a little dry, cole slaw was good and fries were hot. All in all a good meal, not great.

We were looking for someplace with decent food while on our way to Natural Bridge state park. This place fit the bill. Everything our party ordered hit the spot, sitting on the patio feeling the breeze and being surrounded by the green trees on the cliff opposite the restaurant was a nice relaxing break from being in the car. The fried catfish was just the way I like it with a crunchy seasoned cornbread coating. The waitress was nice, made sure we had everything we wanted and checked back a couple of times to see if we needed anything else. We enjoyed our time there.

The menu is very good with steaks and seafood however the view of the river 100 ft below makes one want to sit outside on the deck. Hard to believe but the restaurant was flooded years ago when the river rose to enormouse heights and they have the pics to prove it. the restaurant is also very close to fort Boonesburough an National Site so you might want to make an afternoon out of it.
