The Red River Gorge is a National Natural Landmark run by the forest service. I was totally surprised in a wonderful way when I stumbled across the gorge area. You can drive the loop (77 east to 715, south on 715 to go west on 15) which is breath taking in itself, you can take trails to see many natural bridge formations, you can camp, you can go climbing. All under an incredible canopy of trees and surrounded by beauty. A bonus to me was the lack of crowds -- there were very few people on the road when I visited the week before Memorial Day. Not sure what the crowds will be like during the summer.

One warning -- take food and beverages. There is nowhere in the loop to get food and water and few places when you get to a town.

There are plenty of restrooms at every parking area. Get a map at the visitor center or Shell station in Slade. Dogs are welcome on all trails.

Can't say enough about how beautiful this area is. It's no wonder that people from other states make a point to come see it. The quiet surroundings, lush greenery and running water make for an awesome day.

There is an overlook for the skybridge, however it seems that the trees block the arch, you can see it, but not very shape for the arch shape, also difficult to film it, there is a trail to go the bridge, but we didn't walk, so not sure how's the view there.
Angel windows, princess arch and rock bridge is recommened to go, there is a waterfall in the rock bridge, I think it's good. I am happy to go there. Also, you can go to the Natural bridge state resort park, I think it's out of the red river gorge area, but it's near, people always visit the natural bridge as well, you can take the sky lift to go to the bridge. But be sure for the closing time of the skylift, it closes at 6:00pm in late spring to summer time, you have to prepare at least one hour to walk there leisurely. Or you can spend a longer time to walk several trails.

Amazing scenery and recommended for anyone who likes hiking in the great outdoors. Also worth a visit is the Gladie information center where you can find maps, books and lots of historical information about the area.
