The biggest compliment is arranging for our guests to stay at the Montgomery Inn this June for a celebration bringing folks from all over the Midwest. Unfortunately, there isn't enough 'room at the Inn' for the whole crowd, but for the lucky ones, they will be very pleased. This is the best Inn in the village of the six in the Versailles locale.

Room Tip: We preferred the rooms in the newer addition to the Inn, as it provided us with even more privacy.

I would stay here again, but only if the cost was $40.00 maximum. The Inn seems very cramped and the rooms have substandard furniture, which means the bed was uncomfortable and the décor was cheap. My wife and I didn't stay for the room really, but to enjoy some equestrian activities and bourbon for which Kentucky is famous. Getting directions from the staff was a challenge and nobody seems to know much about important details regarding local attractions. Pam feigned hospitality, which means she wasn't outright rude, but it appeared to be annoying to her when we simply asked questions about local restaurants, shops, and events. I thought it might just be a bad time, but she was like this the entire time we stayed. The food was pretty bad and after two days, we skipped the meals and hit the local restaurants. I am pretty sure any other breakfast and bed inn in the area would be better. I could not understand a single word Mr. O'Malley said.

My sister and I stayed two nights in the Victorian Suite. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and cozy. The bathroom was huge and had a marvelous tub. The beds were very comfortable and we both slept well. The breakfasts were quite a treat, waffles out of this world. Attention was paid to my sister who is vegetarian. Pam was such a joy, what a wonderful person. We plan to go back.. What a relaxing couple of days! Do yourself a favor and make reservations for dinner, you will be glad you did!

Room Tip: The Victorian was great because it had two bedrooms, which is hard to find.

This B&B was so charming. We stayed in the Tara suite (2 full bedrooms!) during our two days doing the Bourbon trail! We loved breakfast each morning and enjoyed our room. Everything was clean, beautiful antiques, and very convenient location for the Bourbon Trail! We will definitely be back again.

Room Tip: We had the Tara Suite which is on the 1st floor at the front of the house. People might be afraid of...

My wife and I stayed at Montgomery Inn over Thanksgiving weekend 2013. Our room (The Tuscany) was outside the main house. There was plenty of privacy and you can go out the door and go to your car without going through the house. The room was great, although a bit weird having a hot tub in the room with you. It was clean, yet a bit tight. Also weird having a small fridge shoved into an unfinished corner niche was weird. The breakfast was very good! We were very impressed each morning. On the downside: While the innkeeper was super-friendly, maybe a bit too much. In the breakfast room we heard a bit too much about previous guests who didn't seem to meet her standards. This included the ambassador to the US of a major foreign country. It made us wonder what they'd be saying about us after we checked out. Every interaction we had with the staff just seemed…mmm…awkward. There was also had a long hair in my coffee in morning. If you don't mind an overly talkative staff, this could be just the place for you.

Room Tip: I would recommend the rooms outside the main house. I believe there are four.

This wonderful Bed & Breakfast has a charm of its own. Our room was great -- clean, wonderfully comfortable, and quiet. We especially appreciated the small refrigerator in the room, and the sparkling clean wine glasses awaiting first pour. The Innkeeper (Pam) and her husband (Justin) expertly mingled with the Inn's guests, ensuring privacy all the while conversing easily with patrons. We had dinner at their adjacent restaurant, "Illumine", on both nights. The food was astonishingly good with a worldly breadth and depth -- from Middle Eastern selections to "street tacos". One of the things we liked best about The Montgomery Inn was the easy comfort of the Inn's sitting rooms -- a great place to start the day with coffee and the newspaper. It won't be the last time we visit this exceptional Inn. We think it's the perfect place for a football or basketball weekend, and the Spring and Fall racing meets at Keeneland will find us gearing up for another night or two. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The French and Oriental rooms have a little porch with comfortable furniture -- great places for a b...
