My wife and I stopped by Glitz today. It is a family owned restaurant and antique store in Nonesuch, KY. The food is gourmet and just absolutely amazing. Be sure to call ahead to make a reservation. Try the Nonesuch Kiss for dessert, it is just fantastic. Two sisters own the store and restaurant and they are so nice. They make you feel at home when you walk in the door. Be sure to set aside enough time to walk around the antiques store. It is a 2 story old school house and they have some beautiful antiques. Also, I forgot to mention that the restaurant is located in the basement (which is really neat) and the decor is out of this world. It was really an unexpected find in Nonesuch. My wife and I definitely plan on bring our family back to have lunch in the near future. This place would also be great for an event such as a holiday party, bridal or baby shower. I would suggest calling ahead as I understand they book up quickly for events near the holidays.

The Glitz is always a wonderful experience. The lights, decorations, antiques, are all so beautifully displayed and you just feel better by visiting. I love the blue room - it is my favorite.

The food in the Glitz is always excellent but be prepared for a somewhat pricey lunch.

When we walked in, our mouths fell wide open. The menu, food, atmosphere and staff were outstanding. It is worth the drive out to experience The Glitz.

The antique/international shop itself is over-the-top with decorations, glitz, lights, etc. Also, over-the-top is the PRICE of any item! The owners travel the world and find unique furniture and home decor. We're sure the price of everything incorporates the cost of shipping their purchases back to the States plus cost of maintaining the place. Nonetheless, it's still a nice afternoon of strolling thru a one-of-a-kind bazaar. Now, THE GLITZ (restaurant).... very delectable. Pricey, $21.50 p/person for luncheon. Low lighting. Go casual (shorts, t-shirts) or go fancy, we saw both. Most people are used to huge Applebee-type portions, thus the negative reviews. These portions are not too tiny and not too big. We did get filled up, although anytime you wait 10-15 minutes between courses, your stomach is likely to fill up faster. The appetizers were scrumptious! Chilled cider is a PLUS! Main entrees were gourmet! Salmon was unbelievable. Dessert was AMAZING!! Kudos to the chef of this place! You may never be seen but your creations are appreciated! Every two weeks the menu changes. If you are a Golden Corral person (big bang for your buck), this is NOT for you. This is a restaurant that takes great pride in serving fresh, flavorful, gourmet lunches. It's definitely a MUST on anyone's "bucket list". Not an everyday lunch but we'd definitely suggest it for a date, anniversary, girls' night out, personal shower.

This off the path jewel is shopping and eating combined. While the antique store upstairs is most interesting, the food at Glitz makes the drive worth everything. It's a great place to take visitors as they are always surprised to find this little culinary oasis!
