Me and my wife typically camp while visiting Red River Gorge, but because of the time of year and with 2 year old daughter in tow thought we would be best to check out the local hotels. There is not many in the immediate area with close proximately to Gorge. We were going to stay at the Natural Bridge State Park Resort, but at the time they did not have pet-friendly rooms. All the resort are in the process of adding them this year. So I googled hotels near the Gorge and came across this one. The feedback was very positive, and they do permit pets with extra surcharge. The hotel is nothing fancy, your basic 50's era motor lodge. The rooms were dated, but very clean and comfortable. We stayed in what I believe was the suite, which was roomier with mini-fridge and couch. I do not believe they internet, but did have cable TV. Just a heads up, the restaurants in the area is limited. You have your choice of fast foods, but we were looking for something healthier and local. The front Desk recommended the family restaurant up the road. It was a step on from fast foods, but still nothing great. Lots of smokers. I believe there was a chinese and/or mexican restaurant in town. If we stay here again, next time we will bring our own food.
