“Very Warm and Welcoming”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

My sister, a friend, and I stayed overnight at Maple Hill Manor while on a road trip through Kentucky and Tennessee. It was our first bed and breakfast experience, and we were excited to stay in a historic manor home. We had been looking forward to our stay for a few months after we booked the Clara Barton Room. When we arrived, we were greeted first by three extremely friendly and sweet Golden Retrievers. Todd, one of the innkeepers, graciously welcomed us inside and gave us a tour and history of the home. Evening dessert was set out in the dining room and we spent the evening visiting with the farm animals and feeding them carrots.

The Clara Barton room was ideal for three travelers with plenty of space. The furnishings lent an overall quaint and charming ambiance to the space. The bathroom was clean, but in need of some updates. From our front windows, we had a nice view of the front alpaca farm and we were able to watch the sun rise over the rolling Kentucky land from our window on the morning of our departure.

Breakfast was a delicious meal, prepared and presented with restaurant quality skill. Although my sister are usually not fans of large breakfasts, this was an exception. We were served eggs-in-a-basket, fresh buttermilk biscuits with preserves, rosemary potatoes, bacon, and fresh fruit. The eggs-in-a-basket were a highlight with the sweet pastry exterior and the cheesy eggs inside. The hearty breakfast definitely energized us for our upcoming day of travel, and it was the perfect way to end our stay at Maple Hill Manor.

We had a great stay at Maple Hill Manor and would recommend it to anyone travelling to the Springfield area of Kentucky.

I have stayed in B&Bs throughout the eastern United States, and Maple Hill Manor is, by far, my favorite! The rooms are exquisite, the atmosphere is pure relaxation, and the food is outstanding! Whether you are meeting new friends in the parlor, enjoying the view from the front porch or lounging in the coolness of the patio, every aspect is perfection! This was my second visit and I'm already planning my next!

My wife and I had an incredible stay. This was our first Bread and Breakfast experience. This location worked out great as we were doing the Bourbon Trail. Todd was a great host, and took the time to help us with everything we needed. The house has a great history, and we will be back as soon as we can plan it..

If you love animals, great personal attention to service, and beautiful surroundings, then this is the place for you. Todd, one of the owners, is made for this place. He really knows how to deal with kinds of people. He makes you feel at home right away, and every time you see him. I don't know when we'll be back in the area, but I would love to do it again.

Room Tip: The room next to the honeymoon suite was much bigger, but didn't have a jacuzzi.

This bed and breakfast is unlike most. Staying at Maple Hill Manor Bed and Breakfast is a splendid choice if you are going to visit the Springfield/Bardstown area or simply want to getaway. My husband and I stayed in the Stephen Collins Foster room, a very nice room, with good upkeep. I slept very well. The breakfast was delicious and very filling! The fact that there are different size tables for breakfast, instead of one large one for everyone to sit at, was a nice feature. Sometimes, you just want to enjoy the time spent with your spouse and friends. Wonderful! The innkeepers are all in good spirit, caring and helpful and contributing to a feeling of being relaxed.
In addition to the beautifully decorated house inside, there is a wonderful patio area with grill, alpacas to feed, an alpaca store, beautiful walking trails...there is sooo much! We definitely need to go back and plan on it for a Murder Mystery in November! Fun times!!

This is the sixth year my daughter, son-in-law, two granddaughters, husband, and I have made our summer family trip to Maple Hill Manor. Each year our visit has been as welcoming and perfect as it was the first time we were there. The house, rooms, grounds, and farm are beautiful. My son in-law especially favors the patio where there is a large two-person swing attached to a huge old tree. Our granddaughters love the animals: 3 loveable golden retrievers that meet guests and love all the attention they get, cats, kittens, Pretty Penny the horse, and the llamas and alpacas. No wonder Todd and Tyler won a national recipe for their lemon souffle pancakes. They are delicious along with the other breakfast items. Tyler even modifies the presentation of the menu items so my daughter and granddaughter can have a delicious gluten free breakfast similar to the one he is serving everyone else.. Todd and Tyler are the most gracious hosts. It is always pleasant visiting with them.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful. If stairs are an issue for you, there are two lovely rooms on the fir...
