We stayed over Labor Day weekend in Somerset to be with our daughter who goes to college in another town close to there who only has 2 hotels that we won't ever try again!!
From the minute we pulled into the Hampton Inn everything was wonderful! The front desk acted like we were the only people in the world, our room was what we wanted and more!! The lady at the front desk found us a church to attend, and exact directions. We went to a movie later in the night and we we returned they wanted to know if we enjoyed it. The free breakfast was great, full, fresh and everyone just catered to us. Coffee Bar is fresh and opened all the time, frsh baked cookies on the front counter are sinful! Pool and hot tub was spotless, and I think if we had ask for a 1000 towels they would have given us more. Sherry the asst manager even mailed my (Mary Kay) makeup that I left on the bathroom door that the maid had turned in - now beat that one?! We will go back every chance we get and you should too!!

We were greeted with warm cookies and the friendliest front desk clerk ever. She was all smiles and very helpful. The rooms are very clean and the bedding was comfortable. Breakfast was great- hot biscuits & gravy, eggs, cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt. We did not use the pool but it looked excellent. We stayed at 3 different hotels during our trip through Kentucky- 2 at Hamptons & 1 at Best Western. Hampton Inn has quickly become our favorite chain hotel in this price range. The Best Western was about the same rate and was clearly outclassed by the Hamptons. The only issue - we asked for a restaurant recommendation and was told to go to Reno's steak house down the road...do not go there! The food was overcooked/microwaved slop and this place should not be allowed to call itself a steakhouse. Anyway, the Hampton is definitely worth a stay.

Our company is new to the Somerset area. Our employees stay here until they can find a home. Everyone has had a great experience. One employee even stayed 6 months. The cookies at the front desk and the friendly staff are just a couple of the great attributes.
I recommend this hotel to anyone who travels through Somerset.

We didn’t planned to be in Somerset, we should be that day in the Smokey Mountains region. Very bad weather however forced us to drive north. With information from the Welcome Center of Kentucky we decided to drive to Somerset, because in this place there were many hotels to choose from.

It was such a pleasant surprise that the first hotel I asked for a room was the perfect place for an overnight stay. This Hampton Inn is in all everything what a hotel should be, very good rooms with forthcoming staff. The man at the reception was very friendly; he gave me the feeling that I am welcoming guest. We took the Jacuzzi suite, a room with good furniture, high-quality king bed and a sort of mini kitchenette with coffee/tea facilities, refrigerator, microwave and sink. The Jacuzzi is in the room and there were nice tick and soft towels with it.

In the lobby there is a computer available for free Internet use, the area itself is lovely decorated, there is also complimentary tea and coffee. During our stay all the staff was very friendly. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and had many things to choose from.

Later I found out, not to my surprise, that this hotel is top rated on this website. This is also a hotel that gives good quality for the rate you will have to pay. Could only wish more hotels would offer the same.

We only stayed here one night while passing through KY, but I wished we would have stayed in this hotel our entire vacation. The staff was extremely friendly and kind and the hotel was clean, neat and new. I have three small children so we opted for the king corner suite that had a king bed, pull out sofa and a roll away put in the room. When we arrived very late we found upon check-in that the sofa bed and roll away were in our room ready to go complete with all the bedding to boot. A nice thing when you have 3 crabby, sleepy children to put to sleep right away. The mattress on all the beds were excellent and the linens on the King bed were to die for. The free breakfast buffet was wonderful and with plenty of hot and cold choices to pick from. We arrived for breakfast shortly after a high school boys baseball team did and we all know how much young teenage boys can put away. But the staff was on top of it and when we got to the breakfast bar to our surprise every item was restocked and refilled. Next time we need to go through KY we will be staying here again!

This Hampton Inn is a bit old, but the friendly front staff make the place a real gem. The rooms were upgraded and typical of the New Hampton Inn style. Mine was a mini-suite with refrig/microwave and whirlpool (which I did not use). It was ample in size, and the bed extremely comfortable. The only draw back was the wireless internet signal was not strong enough in this end room, and with a lot of users, the system got overwhelmed and was not usable. However, the manager did everything possible to help to resolve the matter including an offer to let me use his computer to check e-mails, as the business center was occupied. I would definitely stay here again.
