My wife and I have hiked all but one of the trails here in the park and we loved them!! They are all so unique and amazing. An adventure I recommend is to park in the chairlift parking area then take the Low Gap Trail to the Rock Garden Trail. You will see a staircase at the edge of the parking area. This trail follows the ridge to the natural bridge. The rock formations are amazing! There is also a small unnamed arch along this trail. just an opening in the rocks. Once at the top there is several pace to go. From the end of rock garden trail there is another trail directly across the way that will take you to the top of the bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the trail to lookout point. Here you will find a stunning view of the bridge. From here you can continue down the trail toward lovers leap. You will come to a favorite place of mine known as devils gulch. A quick and really fun spur for the family is to go down into the gulch then take the needles eye staircase back up. Note: THIS IS A VERY STRENUOUS trek! The stairs going into the gulch are also steep so be careful and have fun. Once at the top of the needles eye, head on to lovers leap. NOTE: There are HIGH CLIFFS here as well!! There is also the hoods branch trail on to other side of the parking area near the pavilion and snack bar. This is a 3+ mile trail that meanders through the forest. If you have kids, keep them close when you near the top as the cliffs in this area average 100 feet and higher and falls can be fatal. Maps are available at the chairlift store as well as the hotel and other gift shops in the park. Enjoy you visit and be safe!!
