“Kentucky country music roots run deep.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Just passing through the area and decided to stop in for a looksee. We enjoyed the trip through the museum. Country & Bluegrass Music has deep roots in our Kentucky hills. The offerings change from time to time. The only downfall in my book, no live music. With all the pickers in the area, this should never be. I would stop in again.

“So-So”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2013

Soso...Expected more on the music. There were some interesting photos and displays. Didn't need to see all the costumes. Was small. Fee was included in our bus tour. Otherwise I might have passed this one up.

“On the Right Track but Something is Just Missing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

Fairly small. Didn't tell the evolution and key contributors to country and bluegrass and related genres as well as it could have. Some exhibits were either broken or not working the way they should. If you are very fond of music (I am) it is worth an hour or two to take a pass through here but keep your expectations low.

“Too expensive for too little.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

Rates for this place were extremely high. Not enough entertainment for what they charge. I didn't enjoy looking at what a certain musician wore when performing a certain show. Expected more about music.

“Good Location but no Water”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2012

We stayed at the RV Park at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. We arrived on a Sunday at the end of November and were a little disappointed that nearly everything was shut and we had to book into the park at the ticket office across the road by one of the security guards. He was very nice but didn't really know a lot about the park etc. We were advised that the water had been turned off at the park so no town water. We had emptied our tanks prior to travelling to Renfro Valley so had to find a tap somewhere to fill our tanks. The security guard could not help us in locating one. In the end we went to a service station and filled up there. We set up camp and shortly after a couple more travellers arrived, all stating that they were not aware that the water had been turned off. At this point we discovered a tap at the side of the bathrooms which was still turned on, if the security guard had know this it would have saved us a lot of trouble finding another tap to fill our tank around the town of Renfro Valley.

Apart from that the park had good facilities, very clean, great laundry at a reasonable price - $1 for a wash and $1 for a dry. It would be a great place to stay in the 'on season' when the shows etc are on.

We would recommend this park for it's location and access to the Music Hall of Fame. Great value for money especially it you are a Passport America member.
