The good: The Lodge restaurant with cathedral ceiling and floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking Dewey Lake. White-tail deer bounding through the forest on my morning hike around the lake. Lake tour on a pontoon boat. The swimming pool and splash pool. The courtesy of the lodge staff. The room amenities - flat screen TV, private balcony overlooking the lake, large room.Lots of lodging options - lodge room, cottages, camp ground.

The bad: Rooms need updating. The bathroom was not clean. No map showing location of rooms (Mine was hard to find without directions). Signage into and around the park is very confusing.

I'm a local resident and don't really stay at the lodge but have frequented the property for trainings and we like to go eat at the restaurant. It has great food and a great selection---the value isn't so great, but it is a nice outing and you can even set at a table that has a lake view. Really nice atmosphere and staff!

I stayed at this Kentucky State park resort in mid January. The rooms were very cozy. There was a flat screen television. The beds were comfortable and cozy. You are able to contol your own temperature for heat and air. The ceilings in the rooms are tall and have the lodge like feeling. There is a restaurant just feet away from the rooms. The restaurant had good food. On Saturdays they serve buffalo and elk. All in all a sweet place to stay.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms would have a better view of the lake.

We have been visiting Jenny Wiley for 22 years for family reunions. There have been no upgrades to the rooms the entire time we have been staying here. The rooms smell horrible and are dirty. Walking in the rooms without shoes or socks produced black feet. The conference facilities smell like Urine! Bed linens are at least 10 years old! The buffet in the dining room is discusting. There was lipstick on the clean glasses! The staff is also horribly rude. When we politely asked them to correct the above issues we were given grief and attitude!

This place is also WAY overpriced! We paid the same amount for a Hilton in Naples, Florida. This hotel should be classified and priced as a budget only. The ONLY reason we come back to this dump is because of our family reunion. We are actively looking to move the reunion next year!

Stayed at the park in Dec 2009. We found the rustic lodge charming and the surrounding park beautiful with the new snow that had fallen that evening. The resort was not busy so out room was close to the lodge. The rooms were clean and spacious. The furnishings are older but not a problem. The only complant I have is that the matress was hard and lumpy. No one in my party slept well. The bedding in our room was in much need of an update. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Our family tent camped in the primitive section at Jenny Wiley the first week of October. We absolutely loved it. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. The entire campground was clean, as well were the bathrooms. There were no spiderwebs or dead bugs in the corners of the stalls, nor up near the ceilings. The bathrooms were what we expect from a campground - clean with plenty of hot water. Nothing fancy. Some of the nearby trails were kid and dog friendly, and made for a fun hike. The playgrounds were small, but also nice. At the nearby Dewey Dam there was a huge play area for children. We had so much fun at the dam, we took our daughter there twice. I highy recommend camping here at Jenny Wiley and plan on coming back again next year.

My wife had wanted to stay at this place for years and we finally got to do it. We rented a Cabin and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food at the Lodge was excellent. If you havent tried their catfish, you dont know what you are missing. The buffet was one of the best I have seen yet. Fried chicken, ham, and dont forget to try the desserts. Definitely would recommend them
