By itself, this is just a basic walkway between the floodwall and the Ohio River. There is a lot of concrete, a little grass, a few trees, benches and picnic tables. You can sit and watch the activity along the river, and maybe a eat a sandwich or ice cream from one of the nearby shops in the Historic District. Depending on the time of year you visit you can contemplate the volume of water it takes to fill the riverbanks up to to the top of this mini-park.
Taken alone the riverwalk is probably worth about 10-15 minutes of your time on a quiet day. But just on the other side of the floodwall are the murals (see separate listing), the River Heritage Center (see separate listing), the downtown historic district, and other attractions.
